My art is influenced by myth, fable, fairy tales, the works of Lewis Carroll in particular and the phantasmagorical in general. I think all art is a form of storytelling, and I enjoy creating new stories while drawing on old ones. My paintings tend to fall in a vague sort of space somewhere between illustration and abstract art.
I work predominately in acrylic-based mixed media. I like textures and layers and depth and the raw, vibrant look of art made by hand. I am constantly experimenting with new techniques and mediums and I have a tendency to throw paint at things.
